We typically raise a group of pigs annually and harvest them in the fall. The next round of pigs will be available Fall 2018. In the most recent harvest we offered two types of heritage breeds; Berkshire/Duroc crosses and Gloucester Old Spot/Yorkshire crosses. Our pigs are raised on pasture and spent brewers grain from Hop Valley Brewing Co. Pastured pigs create a tastier and more nutritious product because they live in low stress environments with constant exercise and sunshine. The animals are able to forage and root for their natural diets and as a result are higher in beneficial fatty acids, essential vitamins and antioxidants. We believe that happy animals raised in a respectful humane way creates a product that you can feel good about feeding to your family.
We sell half and whole hogs based on their hanging weight. We aim for 200 lbs. hanging weight. The price per pound after the butcher fees is approximately $4.10/lb ($3/lb to the farm and around $1.10 cut/wrap fee to the butcher).
To reserve your hog please email firstname.lastname@example.org. There is a $100 deposit that goes towards the total cost of the animal.
